JayBaby TheGreaty is the latest in a long line of musicians to come out of St. Louis. The up-and-coming rapper - now based in Atlanta, released his first single “STONY” in anticipation of his debut album: The Last Dragon.

Although the song represents his breakout into the national spotlight (his evolution from small-town rapper to hopeful household name), the rapper stayed true to his roots - featuring vocals from St. Louis’ Teff Deezy, and a cameo from childhood friend, Smino, in the visuals. Previously, JayBaby featured on “Already,” a song off Smino’s 2020 mixtape She Already Decided.

This track comes full circle for the young star, being produced by TDE’s Kal Banx - who previously worked with J. Cole on 2019’s Revenge of the Dreamers III, a record which Smino also featured on. JayBaby’s upcoming album will see its release later this year. Until then, fans can alleviate the time by streaming his bass heavy EP “Water,” available on SoundCloud.
