At just 15-years old, Prentiss is already gaining momentum as one of the top artists in the underground, and he proved that further with his first project, hey prentiss. What stands out is how he brings an atmospheric palette ranging from pop-inspired production you’d hear on The Weekend’s most recent project to the underground pluggnb sound taking over the underground scene which we hear in, “need u,” featuring BabySantana.

The project kicks off with two indie-pop-inspired production with dreamy minimalist guitars, catchy drum rhythms, and atmospheric vocals from Prentiss. It closes with an anthemic hyperpop track on “hazel eyes,” and a pop-punk outro with “miss you.” In just six tracks, Prentiss isn’t held to any limits, as he showcases he can make a solid track on just about any genre of music presented to him. It makes you wonder what he can’t do.
