21-year-old Memphis rapper, Pooh Shiesty, was arrested on June 8th for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Pooh Shiesty, formally known as Lontrell Williams, was taken into custody following a warrant to the King of Diamonds strip club in Florida early in the morning. Williams was already out on bond at the time of the incident after he was charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery with a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm, and petty theft relating to a different shooting.

According to police reports, the rapper is being held without bond and on the charges of battery and aggravated assault. Witnesses stated that security guards were escorting Williams out of the building when an altercation broke out between the staff and the rapper. The security manager of the building told police that the dispute was in regards to money that fell out of Williams’ pants. Footage taken at the scene displayed Williams walking out of the building carrying a weapon. Reports shared that Williams pulled out a gun and fired off a round aimed at the ground, which then ended up hitting one of the security guards in the right ankle. The security guard who was hit by the bullet told the police that he saw the rapper pull the gun out of his pants and moved out of the way quickly, which he stated, “saved him from being shot in the torso.”

Allegedly, the rapper fled the scene before police arrived on site; he was booked into Miami-Dade jail following his arrest later in the morning.
