Sabrina Carpenter Claps Back at Olivia Rodrigo's “Drivers License” With New Single, “Skin"

By now we know that Disney star Olivia Rodrigo’s hit single “Driver’s License” is a subtle dig at her rumored ex-boyfriend and Disney co-star, Joshua Bassett leaving her for Sabrina Carpenter. As Rodrigo sings, “You’re probably with that blonde girl / who always made me doubt / she’s so much older than me / she’s everything I’m insecure about,” fans were quick to point to Carpenter as the protagonist.

Well, Sabrina’s clapping back with her single “Skin,” wherein she writes “maybe blonde was the only rhyme,” “you can try to get under my skin while he’s on mine,” and “don’t drive yourself insane.” The lyrics are a little too pointed to be a coincidence. Who knew Disney channel drama could be so messy?
