The Weeknd's Super Bowl Halftime Performance Is Getting a Full-Length Documentary

Noah Schwartz

The Super Bowl is over, but thankfully Showtime is pulling up and making a full-length 90 minute documentary on The Weeknd’s halftime show performance. The documentary will be done by Pepsi’s in-house content studio and Boardwalk Pictures, which was directed by Nadia Hallgren, who helmed the Michelle Obama Netflix documentary Becoming.

The documentary aims to give an exclusive look into the months of hard work that went into the show, and highlight the beginning of The Weeknd’s music career all the way up to his latest album “After Hours.” No release date has been set for the film yet. Watch the SB performance again until we have some new Abel content to consume!
