Ticketmaster Launches Livestream Ticketing Service

Live-streaming has been a huge deal ever since the pandemic started. Companies are now figuring out ways to monetize off of live events since in person events are still not taking place. After some very successful campaigns for Dua Lipa and Niall Horan, Ticketmaster wants to shift focus to virtual ticket sales.

Ticketmaster says that expanding the platform will build on these successes by providing a “global and cohesive offering to artists for their virtual events, maximizing Ticketmaster’s expertise, marketing and reach on a worldwide scale”.

David Marcus, now EVP of Global Music, will head the Global Music Team working with Sam Isles, SVP of Artist Services, on the ticketing platform. “THE BEAUTY OF VIRTUAL SHOWS IS THAT WE’RE SEEING GLOBAL VIEWING – PERFORMANCES IN LONDON OR LA ARE SELLING TICKETS TO FANS IN NEW ZEALAND, SPAIN OR SINGAPORE, IT’S REVOLUTIONIZING THE WAY ARTISTS CAN CONNECT."
