If there is a word to describe Vonte*, it would be consistency. The last couple of years, the Atlanta-based artist has been releasing music in the underground and has recently made noise with breakout songs, “la Douce,” and “On My Side!.”

His vocals resemble the “Pluggnb” style that has recently taken the underground by storm, but the way he sings over unique and bouncy melodies set him apart.

I just think of songs on his most recent project, “Trapped in Elegance,” as prime examples. Songs like, “Ball Out!,” where he effortlessly switches octaves or “Not Built The Same,” that makes me feel like I’m floating in the clouds and showcases his wide sonic palette.

Vonte* is sure to keep making noise in the underground and it’s only a matter of time until he hits the mainstream.
