J. Cole Is Still Grinding Despite Professional Basketball Career Ending

A couple of months ago, rapper, J. Cole, travelled to Africa to play basketball for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) on the Rwanda Patriots team. However, his basketball game was not up to par, coming out on the other side with a 2-1 record. Furthermore, he racked up a total of five points, three assists, five rebounds in forty-five minutes of play time. Despite his performance, J. Cole is still hustling and attempting to improve his basketball skills.

Cole wants to be prepared if he is given another opportunity to play basketball again. He recently had a meeting with the Lakers assistant coach, Phil Handy, and the Lakers guard, Talen Horton-Tucker, in an attempt to improve his game. This effort by Cole truly impressed Coach Handy and he Tweeted, “the #passion is real, the #work is real, the love for the #game is real, and @JColeNC is a real student of the game.” Check out his full Tweet below:
