347aidan and The Chainsmokers Finally Release “Up & Down” and It Was Worth the Wait

Just in time for weekend two of Coachella and the ensuing festival season of this summer, “Up & Down” is finally here to take over. After seeing snippets of The Chainsmokers play this one out in front of massive crowds with 347aidan performing it with them, you could just tell by the passion and crowd’s reception that this may be a hint of the vintage sound that blew The Chainsmokers up years ago, yet with a contemporary delivery. Now that it’s out and we can listen to the full song, “Up & Down” lives up to its pre-release hype.

Fusing dance, alternative, and a little bit of house – 347aidan’s vocal performance uplifts the production to new heights. His growl hits home as he scream-sings the chorus line “I wish that you could see me now.” You can feel that the lyrics resonate personally with the 19 year old, who had a meteoric rise of his own during the pandemic, and has continued to elevate himself higher and higher, really just scratching the surface of his potential. This one is sure to be on repeat, and also makes me want to run through a wall. Enjoy below:
