Surfaces Releases Vibrant, Euphoric New Album, 'Pacifico' [Album Review]

Rachel Guttman

You've most likely heard one of the most popular bops from last summer, “Sunday Best.” This track was unquestionably one of the hottest tracks of summer 2020 and brought rising duo, Surfaces, to the forefront of the pop genre. The duo, made up of Colin Padalecki and Forrest Frank, had a lot to live up to following the success of their hit single, and they have exceeded expectations to say the least with their latest full-length album, Pacifico.

This highly anticipated project marks their fourth studio album release and has arrived following their latest singles, “Wave of You,” “So Far Away,” and “Next Thing (Lover Boy),” which are all included in the album. Pacifico has a sunny aura blending both hip-hop and acoustic genres seamlessly. The 16-track tropical record contains instrumentals and bright vocals setting the scene for this summer. The songs make me feel automatically transported to the beach or pool, all radiating an overall relaxing energy.

With upcoming concert and festival dates on the way, I was eager for the release of this album, and they seriously did not disappoint. Check out Pacifico below:
