Though gone are the halcyon SoundCloud-era days of Yung Lean, Smokepurpp, and Ski Mask – the scene remains alive and well due to its constant innovation from new and exciting artists. Among these upcoming acts are Joei Razook and Kellbender, two Ohio natives that joined forces last week for their newest collaborative project it’s Cooler in the Shade.

After a few singles released earlier this year, Joei Razook and Kellbender return to deliver fans their signature blend of internet-flavored emo-rap with a SoundCloud twist.  If you’re a fan of artists like 88Glam or Convolk, you’ll be sure to find something to like on it's Cooler in the Shade. The two Ohio artists pull no punches on their latest offering, and from the dreamy trap-ambiance of cuts like “new bitch bad!!!” to the high-energy tracks like “high w/ me," Joei Razook and Kellbender make a strong name for themselves as they move closer into the mainstream. The two also do their fair share of risk-taking as well, as “tired of this” and “Head First” work to push their sound to new limits with abrasive leads and dense vocal layering.

For fans of the Soundcloud scene, emo-rap, or internet-rap, this is a can’t miss project from two early stars. Check it out today so you can claim your ‘I was here first’ medal later.
