The Toronto rapper, Tory Lanez, has requested that the judge in charge of his felony assault case in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, to modify his gag order, which essentially prohibits Tory from publicly speaking on the shooting incident in its entirety. Not only is he restrained from speaking on information he receives from prosecutors that directly relate to the shooting, Tory isn’t allowed to contact Megan or post anything on social media about the situation.

Tory is claiming in court documents that he does indeed have proof that can negate “evidence of gunshot residue implicating others.” But – it’s extremely difficult to find Tory not guilty after there was gunshot residue found on his hands and proof of a text he sent to Megan Thee Stallion saying “I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. I was just too drunk.” The next court date is set for mid-February.
