New Mexico native, Kawelo, demonstrates his love for music with his latest single "Reasons" – the song boasts production by Cassio, who produced Valee & Jeremih’s “Womp Womp,” and most recently Don Toliver’s “Wasted.” Staying active in his 2021 season, the now LA-based musician shows a quick turnover from his January album Saint Kamea – a 7 track montage of his current stylistic prowess.

“Can I take all this money to the end.”

The short track sums up his musical journey thus far. The R&B artist, born Isaac Padilla, dropped out of the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque in favor of pursuing his own career around his art form. Padilla’s mentality is to chase his dreams – as such, "Reasons" serves as a self-narrative for his interpersonal struggles with staying complacent and striving for his own success. Staying true to his roots, Padilla takes on the stage name “Kawelo” - a reminder of his Hawaiian/Latino biracial background: a duality mirroring his jazz upbringing and modern R&B style.
